Terms of service

This is a draft. It must be reviewed by a Ghanaian lawyer before go-live. Governing law is the law of the Republic of Ghana.

Who may use the platform. Adetonfie Wholesale Market is for businesses, including retailers, suppliers, importers, exporters and institutions. By creating an account you confirm you are authorised to act for your business.

Company accounts. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity under your account. Company accounts can hold multiple employees with approval workflows and spending limits set by the business.

Orders and quotes. Product information and prices are shown on the platform. For large or institutional orders you may request a quote; an order becomes binding once confirmed and paid.

Pricing and availability. We aim to keep prices and stock accurate. If a listed price or item is clearly wrong, we may correct it and we will contact you before fulfilling your order.

Payments. Payments are processed by Paystack. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, including mobile money and cards. Payment is due at checkout unless other terms have been agreed for an approved company account.

Taxes. Prices are shown in Ghanaian cedis (GHS). Applicable taxes are added where required by law.

Delivery. Orders are delivered by third-party logistics partners. Available shipping methods, costs and timelines are shown at checkout. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.

Inspection and acceptance. Please inspect your order on delivery. If something is wrong, contact us promptly so we can put it right.

Returns and refunds. Returns and refunds are handled according to the circumstances of each order, as set out in our return policy.

Supplier-fulfilled orders. Some orders are fulfilled by third-party suppliers through the platform. We work to keep those transactions reliable, but the supplier remains responsible for the goods they supply.

Prohibited goods. You may not buy, sell or list goods that are unlawful, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the affected order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Disputes. We will work in good faith to resolve any dispute. If it cannot be resolved, it will be dealt with under the law of the Republic of Ghana.

Suspension. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent or unlawful.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.
